A book I recently finished is one called; In the Land of Blue Burqas, by Kate McCord (a pseudonym)

This is a book that shares the stories of Kate’s life as she lived and worked amongst Afghans for more than 5 years. She details how she found kingdom principals in which to share in response to Afghani beliefs and struggles, that the Muslims would often then adopt and implement in to their own lives.

The Land of Blue Burqas shares incredible and personal stories of struggle, heartache, suffering and joy that are very real and very much a part of daily life in Afghanistan, specifically for the women. The book shows the honest truth of Afghani life and the dangers that come with it.

Kate shares stories of how she was able to impart to her Afghani friends the principals that Christ came to share when walked the earth. She shares and relates biblical truths to the Afghans in such a way that it helps them to deeply understand the message and principals Jesus instilled in his followers 2ooo years ago. While at the same time she helps them to apply these principals to their lives so that they can overcome their daily struggles. This is an amazing book, and a must read for anyone going to work with Muslims, especially in the Middle East.
